Harmony Harvest Farm Holiday Market
Don’t miss the annual Harmony Harvest Farm Holiday Market taking place November 28th & December 5th, where you can shop stunning handmade wreaths, dried flower decor, and gifts from local artisans including wreaths and bunches, holiday arrangements, floral gifts, assorted fare from local artisans and more!

Wreath Workshops
The Valley Pike Farm Market will be hosting Wreath Workshops on December 1st, 3rd, and 5th! These workshops in The Granary teach you to design a one-of-a-kind holiday wreath to decorate your home for the season and will provide all of the supplies.

Harrisonburg Holiday Parade
The revisioned Harrisonburg Holiday Parade “Reverse Parade of Lights – Let’s Brighten The Sky!”, has been officially canceled due to new COVID-19 Guidelines.

Cookie Tour
Take the sweetest tour of downtown Harrisonburg with the Cookie Tour, on Saturday, December 5th! Stop by the 12 participating locations in any order you choose to build your own plate of locally-made holiday cookies! Support local businesses in downtown Harrisonburg and treat your sweet tooth!

NYE Glow Run
The Annual New Years’ Eve Glow Run by VA Momentums and Generations Crossings will take place on December 31st and is the best way to ring in the new year in Harrisonburg! This out-and-back 5K course will run through downtown and JMU’s campus and be lined with flashy lights and DJs!

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
The Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will be converted to a made-for-TV spectacle, featuring the larger-than-life balloons, over-the-top floats, and big-name performers! You can watch the parade as always on NBC on Thursday, November 26th from 9 am to noon. Or, watch the live stream!

Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting
Enjoy the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting on December 2nd with a live national broadcast hosted by NBC to officially mark the start of the Christmas season!

National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
Washington D.C’s 98th National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and holiday performances will take place on December 3rd on thenationaltree.org.

New Year’s Eve Ball Drop in Time Square
The Annual New Year’s Eve Ball Drop in Time Square will also occur virtually this year. You can still countdown the ball drop and pop some champagne in the comfort (and warmth!) of your own home! The event will feature the iconic ball drop countdown, as well as performances and a recap of the year’s events broadcast on television and live stream.
